It's an okay deal for $40... but frankly, it's a terrible camera.
The key thing that I'm missing in your specifications is optical zoom. You only mention digital zoom. What this means, is that whenever you zoom in with this camera, it uses less than the full 3.1 megapixels. In fact, when you zoom in to the max, it only uses 0.4 megapixels. This is worse than most phone cameras, and it's not good enough to make prints.
If you only intend to use this camera for pictures in your website, you should be fine. If you want to make prints however, return this camera!

OK, these things work. For a while.

Treat it as a learning investment to find the things you really want to have on your next proper camera with a metal body, quality lens with optical zoom, lithium ion rechargeable battery etc. etc.

Unfortunately......you got EXACTLY what you paid for :(
If you got it from a store maybe you can return it, do some research, then get exactly what fits your needs. If a person sold it to you.............well, I hope they're not a close friend.
