A judge says to the defendant, "The charge against you is first degree murder of your neighbor, Mr. John Smith. How do you plea?"
The defendant responds, "I plead guilty, Your Honor."
The judge looks at the man and says, "Okay. Even though there is substantial evidence to prove your guilt, along with your own admission of guilt, I cannot sentence you."
And with that, the man is let go.
How did this man get off with no punishment?

Nothing sexual went on between the judge and defendant. I'll post the answer later. 10 pts for closest guess (or for another solution I didn't think of if no one guesses right).

This is a nasty riddle. I've not heard it, nor seen it before.
I'll have to keep an eye on this and see what the answer is.
Good riddle!
EDIT AFTER SEEING THE ANSWER
--------
If they were conjoined twins, would not the other twin be guilty also, or would he only be a witness? Why would the other twin not try to stop his conjoined twin from murdering the neighbor?
Good riddle, but the answer leaves some questions un-answered.

because he is Chuck Norris, and he killed a badguy with a roundhouse kick to the head. and since "john smith" was bad, he got let go... also the judge knows Mr. Norris's powers and understands that a few metal bars will most certainly not keep him in prison. he will roundhouse kick his way out of jail and return to the judge and kill him along with his whole family. then will become dictator and eventually rule the world.
