I have these 2 tiny lumps in my right breast like the size of a pea. I have had them for 2 years know they came up after my son was 3 months old, and I did not breastfeed him. They are tender to the touch and are just painful especially when I am on my period. I have had them checked many times and they have not grown any. I have not had any test done on them. I forgot what the doc said they most likely are. I think some kind of cyst or benign growth, but the doc said I could have them removed if they bother me. I dont know what to do. Has anyone else had this? The doc said they would most likely be there until I hit my 40s and I am 22 now. I just dont know if I should worry about them being a hazard to me.

your doc is absolutely right. This is a beningn condition known as fibrocystic disease of breast. You just need to reassure that its a harmless condition and nothing needs to be done unless its causing unbearable pain. Just go on doing self breast examination

I would get a second opinion. Go get a mammogram. For your own health go have another Doctor check you out. It could be a cyst. But without tests you won't know for sure. I am surprised that your Doctor didn't actually get an appointment for you to have it checked.

DId you have a mammogram or ultrasound? Some drs. discount lumps in young women, but young women can have cancer too. If you are really concerned, get another opinion. Most breast lumps are benign, but if it concerns you - I would go see another dr.

They could be many things, from internal zits to precancerous lesions. Go let the doctor check it out, and then you don;t worry.
