I'm a state volleyball player and travel all over for 3 day tournaments so i know what you're dealing with..here's what you want to do...
1. Don't eat any dairy, it tends to make you tired due to the lactose.
2. Drink plenty of water, to the point where you really don't want anymore, believe me that you may not feel dehydrated, but you will be if you don't
3. Eat anything that is a good source of complex carbs, i.e. fruit, bagels, veggies.
4. If you have no time between some matches that is the only time that you should use sugar, like candy bars, as your energy source.
5. Try to eat in little meals, not one giant one.

Most importantly the day before the tournament, you should eat a meal with LOTS of carbs.... like spaghetti.
Hope this helped!

well i'm a volleyball player and if I went pro i would eat a lot of healthy foods. Follow the food guide pyramid . But make sure you do eat because you get nutrients from food. But it's okay to eat junky foods once in a while. i mean i couldn't survive if i ate healthy foods all my life. So yeah there you go. i hope i helped you =]

I don't play volleyball, but i play soccer, it's same thing for every sport.

I eat what i eat every day and i drink what i drink every day.
My coach told us all the time eat and drink what you are used to. I'm not saying eat hamburgers and that kind of stuff. Fruits, and salads is good. Because if you eat one kind of food during the tournament only, your body might not be used to it and you might get sick.

Juice, cold cuts, salads, fruits (bananas are very good, it stops you from getting dehydrated.

DO NOT: drink milk, eat hard food.
