Flirting means that he DOES like you. However it doesn't always mean that he wants a relationship with you. Flirting is simply friendly banter with people who's company we may enjoy. There is nothing to be confused about really. If he wants more than a friendship he will let you know.

I totally feel you. I don't know if there is a good way to know. Just flirt back, go with it. However, I have learned from my own mistakes that you don't want to push him to aswer the question of whether he likes you, because he will run and hide. Good luck.

u should take some time alone with this person. maybe if u are alone he will admit to u that he likes u. if u had some time alone, then u would get to know him better.i would know cause im in the same position.
or if u dont like that, just go up to him alone(when he's alone) and ask him.

have you actually tried to ask him out or anything? if he avoids those kinds of questions then I'd just back off completely. if he decides he wants you he'll come get you in any way he can. but its defintely not worth it to pursue anyone who can' t make up their mind or isn't TOTALLY into you...that's the number one mistake girls make about guys.
