I know I've seen it before, but when I looked in the pasta and sauce aisle it wasn't there anymore. Was it moved? ..or do they just not sell them in groceries anymore?

Does anyone know what aisle I can find jarred pesto in because sometimes I'm just too lazy to chop and buy all those ingredients.
Thanks.

it is usually in the pasta & sauce aisle - look up at the top shelf where the small, expensive gourmet sauces are usually stocked. some grocers also carry a refrigerated brand or two, which you would find in the refrigerated dairy aisle (near the cheese).

Look in a refrigerated section - with fresh pasta and sauces that aren't canned.

If you tried to can pesto, the canning process would thoroughly cook the pesto and take away all of the fresh characteristics.

If the container is too large for you to use, pesto freezes very nicely. Put it into a smaller glass jar, and add a little olive oil to the top to protect the top layer of pesto from interacting with the air.

The supermarkets usually carry the pesto in the refrigerated section with the fresh pasta and cheese area.

Breaded Jaleopeano peppers with a dip Buy a jar of Jalepeano peppers and slice each pepper along the centre and stuff with low fat cheese, squeeze pepper back together and roll in bread crumbs and place on a baking tray. Spray with fry lite oil and bake in the centre of the oven for approx 15 mins on gas mark 7/ 200*c until golden brown. Serve warm with a bbq or onion chutney dip!! theyre very addictive so if you're going to make them make sure you make plenty to go around!!!

I've only seen it in specialty stores or regualr grocers that tend to carry specialty items. Try asking at various health food or natrual/organic foods stores.
