im 10 years old and home alone on my sister's account because i'm scared cause i keep hearing noises like footsteps and no one else in my family is here and i'm NOT hearing things. HELP

If you are hearing noises pick up the phone and call 911. Better safe then sorry.
And show my answer to your mother when she gets home. Tell her a RESPONSIBLE adult does not leave a 10 year old alone.

yeah, i don't like being home alone either. the noises comes from your mind wondering. when a mind is idle, it wonders, and when the mind wonders it creates imaginative things. so don't try to deny the scary thoughts coming from your mind, because the more you try to not think of something the more you will think of it. Instead, try to distract your mind by doing something else more interesting to you, which could be a computer game or a book or anything, as long as it keeps the mind busy. oh and switching all the lights on also helps.

If you don't have any way to contact your family, call a neighbor or an older friend or relative that you trust and ask them to come over and check it out.

call the cops fo sho and grab a weapon if your sure it could be your house expanding. the make noice when they do that.
