Or "oh no" - similar sort of thing.

I've looked on loads of french slang websites but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Lorna

I hang out with a girl who is French, living in Quebec though... and she says Uh, oh... just like Americans do... so perhaps at this point its sort of universal.

Thank the Internet, Movies, and the music industry for that. :P

"zut, alors" is not "uh oh". It is more like "darn". You say it after you make a mistake. It is not for when your realize that something bad is about to happen.
Most people here in Marseille would say "oh putain", which is vulgar compared to "uh oh". Otherwise they say "oh petard", et "au fan".

Zut, alors.

["zoot" is just how it sounds, not how it's spelled.]
