this is dramatically slowing down my computer and my send receive is not functioning quickly any more. I need to get this taken care of ASAP, but I can not delete it from my outbox and I can not drag it to drafts. I am worried that if I shut down outlook, i will not be able to open it back up and therefore will have no access to email .

please HELP!

If the 21MB file you sent had actually gone through, it should appear in your "Sent Items" folder, not your Outbox. Have you tried hitting "Send and Receive" to clear it out of there? Are you on dial-up? The computer could be slow because all its resources are being spent trying to send that e-mail.

Open your outlook and bring your outbox up. Highlight what you were trying to send and hit the delete button on your keyboard or right click what you've highlighted and pick delete.
Then close outlook and reopen it and it should be fine.
I just had to do this to mine, it is having issue when sending certain things and it just started doing that.

You should shut down and try reopening Outlook. If the file is in your outbox it has not been sent yet and probably never will as it it may be too large.

Thsi action may have corrupted your local OST file. Try renaming the file and reopening Outlook.
