The Forehand Arms Company, Worchester Massachusetts, went under the name of Forehand and Wadsworth from 1872 until 1890 when it became the Forehand Arms Company. The Forehand Arms Co. produced both hammer and hammerless guns under their own name and brand names for Sears and Roebuck. Few shotguns were produced until the firm was taken over by Hopkins and Allen in 1902. The company made a wide range of hammer and hammerless single and double barrel shotguns of low and medium prices.
Unless in like new condition they are of little collector value. Depending on grade and condition values will range from $100 to $1000.

To get a good idea of its true value it would need to be assessed by an arms dealer. Here in Australia the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia can give you details of arms dealers who specialise in antiques and or shotguns.
The patent date and the date of manufacture can be vastly different as some patents are used for ,many years and even decades.
The SSAA has a website where you may get some information and if you photgraph the gun and send the pics to their magazine if it interests the editor they may get their staff valuer to write an article on it. Also membership of SSAA means you can ask your question in writing to the magazine.
Best of Luck
