Well that depends. You probably have a 2.0 because your new school didn't recieve transcripts from your old school, so they put you at average. If you know that you're GPA at your old school was lower, I'd say stick with it and work your butt off to bring it up. If you know you're GPA was higher (like you had mostly As and Bs) then go talk to you counselor about how to get your transcripts sent to the new school from the old one. That way you don't have to work your way out of a hole you didn't dig.

Well 2.0 is average GPA which your overall grade is a "C-". Is a acceptable GPA for many. But, however, you need to push it up. The higher the GPA the more benefits and scholarships you can get.

g.p.a of 2 signifies an average of a "c" in all the subjects you've opted for.
there are only 4 [gpa is the a paticular point for a grade] grades in the american system
a= 90 and above,near 4
b=80 and above,near 3
c=70 and above,near 2
d=60 and above.near 1
anything below that is a fail.
you can definately improve your grades, for sure.
but familiarize yourself with the system, it will be give you an edge on how to score better.
aim for the stars, alright?always!
work hard now, and reap benefits later.
see heres how you calculate...
supposing you have 3 subjects
and this is how you've scored.
78
65
89
1.add them together, and divide it by the total points you can score in all subjects put together.
so thats 232/300.
2,multiply that fraction into 4.
giving you--->3.093
so thats an average of b.get it?
so its like this.
point accumalated in all subjects/total points achievable
that multiplied by 4.
will give you ur grade point average.
take care.
and no 2, isn't bad.thats 70 and above in all subjects on average.
keep trying.make that 2 a 3!

A 2.0 can be improved. It's simply average As if you had all C's. When you hit a 4.0, then there is no need for improvement

4.0 is an A average, so it looks as if your only at 50% of where you need to be to get an A average. Never be afraid to ask for help.
