Radical Islam—a Threat to Freedom of Speech?

His often controversial daytime talk show weathered every storm until the one that broke in early January with the publication of an article Mr. Kilroy-Silk wrote for the British Sunday Express. In it, he made some blunt statements about human rights in Arab countries.

Nothing he said was untrue—but that's not the point. PC says otherwise and PC rules.

The words of the prophet Isaiah come to mind: "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness" (Isaiah 5:20). What used to be considered good is now described as evil and vice versa.

In neighboring Spain, a Muslim cleric recently caused controversy when he published a book advising Islamic men on how to beat their wives and avoid prosecution—a classic example of how multiculturalism and tolerance are being taken advantage of.

Meanwhile, 80 percent of the imams in American mosques "are under control of radical extremist Muslims who teach violent jihad" (ibid.), a fact that bodes ill for the next generation of Americans

In summation, Mr. Cummings wrote: "The only way to defeat this militancy and the concomitant terrorism of an amorphous al-Qaeda is not only to foster a dynamic and moderate Islam, but also to engage in a deep introspection. Is it just 'our freedoms' they hate, or something else? Perhaps it is our own lack of a sense of the sacred and our failure to appreciate that our avarice has engendered deprivations elsewhere that engender such rage. As Burke [the book's author] advises, 'All terrorist violence, "Islamic" or otherwise, is unjustifiable, unforgivable and contemptible. But just because we condemn does not mean we should not strive to comprehend. We need to keep asking why.'"

Mr. Burke writes of the need to "keep asking why." This is made impossible by political correctness, which has already made a determination, the verdict being that all cultures can live together in perfect harmony and that, in the event of disharmony, it's all the fault of those brought up in the traditions of the West. It should be noted that not one Islamic nation believes this, as none allow immigration from the West—they do not believe in assimilation

The difference is that they are exploiting the system of america and making it seem that "we are based on religiouse freedom yet me deny the right for muslims to practice their religion to the fullest". However, the policy of america is that you can do what you want as long as it doesnt break the law, for example muslims have to pray 5 times a day and if your at an airport and your all praying (especially while we are in a time of war with a muslim nation) it makes people uneasy and we have the right to questions them to make sure everything is ok.

Having equality of religion everywhere is a lot like commmunism. It looks good on paper but in practice it is just again human nature. Everyone wants to be right.

Because they are pure evil. If you refuse to worship as a Muslim they will kill you. For instance, there has been terrible fighting in Somalia, Mogadishu against them by Arab Militias trying to force this so call religion into their homeland they do not won't this militia in. In Darfur part of Sudan the Arab M. has control. But killing & rapes are continuing there if you are not Muslim. They want control of you and everone else. The Ethiopian goverment has been a great help to these countries
but it 's not over yet. 200.000 have been killed & 2 million driven from their homes.

This is a very clear evidence of Islam's biased nature.

They preach freedom but practise slavery.
They preach peace but practise terror
They preach love but practise hatred

In their terms freedom, peace and love is needed towards their own people. Towards rest of the world they practise slavery, terror and hatred only.

Wherever in the world when Islam reach majority, they will impose their rules over others and others will have no freedom. Just like communism.

Turkey is a secular muslim country so your theory is not 100% correct. There are christian and jewish populations in all muslim countries so I do not think that there is not religous freedom, but they do enact laws that coincide with Muslim religous beliefs. But how is that any different from the born again christians in the US who want prayer in the school, are not pro-choice, teach creationism, want to make homosexuality a crime, etc.?

I think they are at a different stage of development.
If you look at early "western civilizations, they were very oppressive and oppressed.

There are a lot of similarities between those civilazations and our own one.

Not that we are very civilized. I mean we still kill one another for little or no reason, we squabble of minor things, often not even food.

But we have a "degree" of public liberty, that many would envy.

Great question!

The world is trying to adjust to the collision of two vastly different philosophies. On the whole, Islam is a religion of peace--but there is a significant minority of violent, fundamentalist Islamics who give the religion a bad name, and the governments of Islamic countries sit quietly by, or offer support to these misanthropic men. They take bits and pieces of their scripture and rally around them for evil rather than good. While there is much that is good in the Islamic teachings, here are some examples of the problem-causing scriptures--
Qur’an 8:60 “Infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them.”

Bukhari:V4B52N260 “The Prophet said, ‘If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him.’”

Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends.”

Sahih Bukhari V6B61N577:
I heard the Prophet saying, "In the last days (of the world) there will appear young people with foolish thoughts and ideas. So, wherever you find them, kill them, for there will be a reward for their killers on the Day of Resurrection."

Bukhari [4:52:177]: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him!"

Bukhari, V1B4N234: "A group of people from the Oreyneh and Oqayelh tribes came to the prophet to embrace Islam, the prophet advised them to drink the urine of the camels. Later on when they killed the prophet's shepherd, the prophet seized them, gouged out their eyes, cut their hands and legs, and left them thirsty in the desert to die."

Fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war. Surah 9:5

The punishment of those who wage war against Allah (blasphemy) and his Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the hereafter. Surah 5:33
Quran 4:34 "(as to those muslimah’s) on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them;"

ON THE OTHER HAND, FROM THE CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES--

Matthew 5:44,45 But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
1 John 4:7,8 ...let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Ephesians 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them

MY RESPONSE--
As Christians, sometimes we have a hard time turning the other cheek--but it's generally not in our nature to be the offender. Our nation was built on tolerance, and we're not islamophobic, or against any religion! We're fanaticphobic. And terroristphobic. We want to be able to take our families to Disneyland without having to worry about being maimed or killed by a raving lunatic who thinks he has a mission from God, and who thinks forcing others to bow down with a gun to their head is acceptable.
We find ANY RELIGION--including Islamic fundamentalism--to be BARBARIC, distasteful, and a mockery of true religion WHEN it is used as an excuse to do EVIL.

So, all violent religious nuts listen closely--if WE did what YOU do, WE would be executed as criminals by our own courts! Trying to spread religion by force can be compared to using the KKK and its violence to spread Christianity. The IDEA is abominable to us, and to ALL civilized people, REGARDLESS of religion!
So, to ANYONE who would use religion as an excuse to be cruel, murderous or evil--GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!
