I spend hours slaving over a hot stove, to provide healthy, varied meals for my lot.
I put it front of them & what do they do?
Cover it in bloody Tomato sauce!

yeah. it ruins the food. I hate ketchup but the rest of my family loves it.

OH! I SO agree with you! Ketchup is useless. Just tomato sauce with a bunch of sugar added. However uneducated palates seem to need sugar in just about everything. Hopefully your kids will grow out of this habit & learn to indulge the real world of cuisine & fresh tastes. I know I did! PS You think the ketchup makers aren't trying to addict your family by supplying "hidden" sugar & salt to them? You've already seen adults still having to have those horrible sauces. They refuse to try anything new.

i don't be attentive to what variety of climate you reside in, yet have you ever seen planting over an prolonged quantity of time? Tomatos take rather little of the season to enhance and ripen, so it will be common to try this. Plant a small quantity at a time, perhaps a week aside, and you'd be waiting to relish your artwork for longer.

why not make them your own healthy tomato ketchup to go with your meals that way you win on the healthy food front and they win by having sauce. P.S it also tastes better

I love the stuff...tho it must be fustrating for you to have all your food depreciated by the presence of the red goo! Why dont you get them to make a meal and see how they felt if you covered it in sauce?

You bother because years from now you can say you spent all that time caring and they will appreciate it later on. You are also exposing them to healthier ideas other then McDonald's and other disgusting fast food junk. You do it because your a good mother.

yes i know exactly how you feel ,my husband insists on having fruity sauce over nearly everything he eats and my kids will normally put red sauce over food they eat .
I rarely have it at all and i'm forever yapping why not see what the food really tastes like !

all depends on what your making most of the time i go for brown sauce its not that they dont like your cooking its just the sauce adds flavour but if your making chips and eggs i will have lots of red sauce please
