How do you avoid the splash effect when you are taking a number 2?

Need some advice to improve my experience.

wad up a few sheets of paper in the bottom of the terlet first. the varying surface on the bottom causes the mini tidal wave from the #2 splash to the side a bit instead of straight up.

I find that gelitin in the toilet bowl takes care of this problem.

Softer poo causes less splash, eat more roughage for softer poo.
