An onomatopoeia is a type of word that sounds like the thing it is describing - like whooosh, bang, wham, boom or click.
So the question is asking you if the poet uses any words like sound like the sound they are describing. Reading the poem out loud will help you see if the poet does.

Onomatopeia is another word for Sound effects
It's like using a word that sounds like what you are saying like crunch, crack to describe walking on a leaf for example see the effect.

It's a word used to describe a sound, like Snap, crackle, pop, zoom, piss. Pac-Man uses an onomatopeia in his name. Pac is the Japanese onomatopeia for "munch".

Its when a word sounds like its sound. Like 'splash'. Actually most things that are said to be onamatopaeic aren't. Stuff like trickle is supposed to be onamatopaeic. Do you hear that sound when you're near trickling water? Honestly is it anything like it? Nope its a load of old b*llocks.
