Some ideals of peace are mixed with material possessions, if people dont have the things they need they are not happy. On a larger scale this equates to nation owning nation and obviously no one's going to accept being dictated to, moreso if proposed "improvements" are so poorly outlined.
Power over Poverty doesn't equate to Peace.

because everyone is too quick at judging. ppl judge others on what they wear, who they hang out with, what nationality or race or religion they are. People never seem to judge people on who they are anymore and what they say. If everyone did that, there would be peace. There is only violence when misunderstanding is present. Violent people either feel misunderstood and retaliate, or they misunderstand others and take offense. otherwise, why else would they do what they do or say what they say.
Also, there is no understanding between people in power anymore, therefore there is no trust. But, has there ever been?
Going to where everyone who is a christian (see i am making a judgement based on my opinion, it may not be true!) is, and would say, there is sin in the world. Perhaps (don't shoot me, I'm just makin a suggestion) God doesn't even understand us. Maybe that's where it started. Maybe God doesn't understand why Adam and Eve sinned when they had all they wanted and needed. therefore, if the "Creator" doesn't understand us, how can we be expected to understand ourselves?

It isn't that we find it hard it is simply that we all have different matters of opinion. We all like different things, music, food, vehicles etc. If we were all the same this world would bevery boring and there would be no arguments and no fights we would all be the same. In my opinion that would be boring, i do think we could all try a little harder to work together to try to get along better with each other. I don't really think there is such a true thing as living in peace, even if we were all the same.

what a fantastic question. the answer is simple.
'we' are beings who primarilly focus on what the five senses provide thus our sense of peace comes from what our senses provide too.
so - if we are not at peace then we look to change something in the world (which we think will bring us peace) - after all it is the 'world' that provide data for the senses.
the thing is that 'peace' is an internal thing and so cannot be got from continually changing the world
it can only be got from changing ourselves - thus should 'you' ever make that conclusion and adjust 'your' view then you will find that the world IS living together in peace.
additionally:
a glass with some water in it is seen as half-full or half-empty because of what is in 'you' not what is in the glass.

Land is limited.
The answers towards peace are as simple as sharing the land, and managing the growth of the population in respect to the development of the land.
The land on this globe belongs to the creatures that live on it. The vast variety of resources that this globe has to offer belong to the creatures that live on it.
75% of this planets land is under water.
Surely there must be a way to develop that, as a cooperative effort, toward peace.

I could say that it's because it's because we don't take the time to look into ourselves and then try to walk in our sisters' and brothers' shoes.
But the truth is WE JUST DON'T TRY to get along with anyone because we're too busy trying to find fault with the other person. It's only when you realize what you're doing and stop - that you have a chance of changing things- one spot of the world at a time.

Because we have refused the call of prophets of God that entire mankind is a flock or family of God and equal shareholder in all the bounties of God.Unversal justice, if ensured by the powerful governments of world can bring the international peace.Let us have the courage to know that Love for all hatred for none is the future slogan of internal community.

We find it difficult, the same as any other species on this planet because we all need, for survival to be the best. In doing so our natural instinct will override our compassion for other people and species. However those who like Mother Theresa moved away from their natural instinct and was able to see past their primeval self.

Because some people can't handle the fact that not everyone believes what they do. Greed is another reason. As is lust. People will always have something someone else wants. (eg: oil) Besodes, if we all lived in peace, wouldn't it be a boring world?

Because of greed, power and selfishness. What the world needs is Global threat, something that threatens mankind, then we may learn that the petty things we fight and kill for are nowhere as important as man's survival in the universe !
