1) There is no debate... some people simply deny the facts. Evolution has, is and will continue to occur and has all the supporting scientific evidence needed to prove it.. you need only look outside to see it.

2) I am a Spiritual Agnostic.. Nature is the foundation of my spirituality.

3) I have no University level education, nor did I complete highschool. However my study of Nature and the Universe has never stopped it has continued since I was a child until now...and I can confidently state that the knowledge I have may well surpass many who did complete university. Since the scope of my learning was not restricted to a certain template, I have had the opportunity to study everything equally without undue focus or attention upon a single subject. As you can see by the previous post there are alot of educated people who deny evolution even though they were exposed to the knowledge in school. If anything I oppose organized education as it inherently encourages an attitude of non-questioning similar to that of organized religion.. to put it succinctly I have no faith in the ability of our education system to produce logical, rational people with common sense... Not to say that it doesnt happen but, to my mind education is no guarantee of knowledge or wisdom in an individual. Educated or not people still develop tunnel vision when they are encouraged to focus upon one subject alone... the difference lies in the individual.. those that always question everything eventually arrive at the truth, those who forego questioning and profess absolute knowledge arrive at illogical conclusions.

What is your view of the evolution/ID/creation debate?
There is no scientific debate. Evolution was a theory 150 years ago, now it is scientific fact. The evidence is far too overwhelming.

What is your spiritual position/religion?
Atheist.

How much university level science and mathematics have you had?
Too much. (master's degree in engineering, plus other stuff)

I am a creationist. I'm a Chemical Engineer (which practically beats all your tittles, he he)

My wife is a lso a creationist and she has a Phd in Microbiology (this beats your tittles several times)

I also know a university professor that has taught biology for a long time and is also a creationist.

Other than these I know several engineers and scientists that are creationists

So, if your point is that creationists do not know anything about science, you are plain wrong.

Very few have any awareness of natural history at all. I have studied biology and worked in ecology but above all else I've spent my entire life studying animals in their natural habitat. I even carry a portable microscope so that I can study any interesting flora and fauna so my acceptance of evolution is founded on a lifetime's study of nature. But they just call me ignorant and misinformed.

Atheist who is currently in his freshman year of college. However, I should warn you about the conclusions you may reach from the answers; I have cornered biology Ph.D. creationists in debate before. Intelligence and the ability to apply what you know to your beliefs are totally different skills.

Ok, you're a really smart theist who acknowledged the reality of evolution... groovy.

Evolution - obviously theory and truth.
Creationism / ID - mere speculation (the layman's "theory")

I'm an atheist.

A few science and several mathematics courses, no degree.

Don, there is a list of scientists first named "STEVE" that do believe in evolution, and the list is longer than yours.
