you let a guy friend know you like him without making things weird between you? i would rather have him as a friend than nothing. how can i find out if he feels something?

You could slyly mention that you had a dream about you two being together, and measure his reaction. Or something like that. You could also just ask him if he ever thought about you two being more than just friends. If he's a real friend, he won't find it that awkward.
