Some people got'em and love'em, and some people got'em and didn't. Everybody else who's never touched one, doesn't know. It's all in personal preference and whether or not you had any trouble with yours. Personally, I've shot several, some I liked, others not so much. I don't like the double stacked magazines in certain models as it makes it bulky and hard to handle, also feels "top heavy" and unbalanced. Single stack models, not so bad. I still prefer my Govt. model .45 or a Browning Hi-Power.

O.k. some of you H.k. guys say it is rated number 1. By whom? The glock has set a new standard in dependability. It is cheap semi-accurate, lightweight and extremely dependable. It is also a good platform for tweaking
Go to an idpa or ipsc match and see which guns jam and which ones don't. Don't talk to people who shoot guns talk to people who wear them out. You will find a large glock following.
I shoot a hand built 1911. That being said 1911 people are the worst, so I ignore them

Glocks are has been guns. They are in a stage now where they will strugle to stay in the ranks for a few more years and then they will be gone. Glock is not rated in the top 5 anymore by anyone who holds respect with the subject. Dont get me wrong, they were the gun back when. Failure to keep improving has lost them their fame. No one does it like HK, They were number 1 15 years ago and remain there now. Springfield has the XD series which will soon replace all glocks in the field.
Manby diehard Glock lovers will argue but its quite simple. You hear your uncle say I had a 63 Corvette that had 350hp that would outrun everything in the town ! The problem is that the town was small then and the tech was even smaller, a well tuned 1.6 littler jap car with 150hp will now turn better times . This is the same with all items. If you dont improve you will be left behind, a so the Glock story !

You get use to it after a while, it’s not just Glock you find it with Weatherby and Browning and so many others.
They say you get what you pay for.
But some times you pay for more then you get!
Glocks I’ve had my share and sold them, they were not bad, they just did not feel right,
To me it felt clumsy and unnatural.
For me any weapon I keep must be as natural as pointing my finger or it’s gone.
I’m not brand specific, I have a mix and each one met my requirements.
Most came with a price, and some more so.
But I was not after the name, but the quality, durability, natural feel and aesthetics.
It will pass, it all ways does.
Shoot, G of 1 I gave you thumbs up just for the unique use of silver wear

Oh god yes, definately.
I never did like the idea of synthetic guns, and even though they have proven themselves fairly well in the market,
...I still don't like them.
When you eliminate the fine machine work that used to be the mark of a fine firearm and replace it with ...cast plastic...
I just don't think its's right.
How much enduring character can ...cast plastic...(ick) have?
Can ...cast plastic, have a soul?
.....Not like a 1911 can.
(of course guns do not have souls, but classic guns have so much character it sometimes almost seems like they do. Doesnt an 1873 Colt peacemaker embody the "soul" {or something like it}, of the American West?)
How much character will a hundred year old ...cast plastic gun have?

They are good guns, but I personally don't care for them. Especially for concealed carry, I know that they are a very safe gun, but I am personally more comfortable with an external hammer on a gun that my life depends on. I also prefer metal guns over that plastic crap, it just feels so much better.
