If he is throwing up repeatedly he needs to be seen by a vet today.

Since your dog has been puking for over 24 hrs, take him to the Vet ASAP. Do you know of anything he may have gotten ahold of that could cause this? Did he eat a plant or anything that could be toxic?
Definitely get him to a Vet now because he has been sick and throwing up for way too long.
I am not so worried about the yellow color which is sometimes the color, a frothy yellow, when their stomach is empty.
I'd be more worried about him getting dehydrated or getting sicker if he got ahold of something toxic.
And don't give your dog milk because that will make him sicker.
I know that water with pedialyte mixed in is good to prevent dehydration or to replace the electrolytes lost from so much vomiting.
I had a dog that got pancreatitis and she first threw up like you described and then it started getting bloody. Then she started having diarrhea that was bloody too. The Vet had her put on IV fluids with anti-nausea medication and antibiotics and no food or water by mouth. That is why it is good to take your dog to a Vet when it has been doing something like throwing up around the clock for over 24 hrs. The Vet can diagnose why the dog is sick and give the proper treatment.
The sooner the better.
I wouldn't worry if a dog threw up a few times and then was frisky and back to their normal self, but that is not what you have described.

The yellow stuff he's vomiting is bile since his stomach is probably empty from not eating. With vomiting being the only symptom it's hard to tell how serious it is. If he's vomited multiple times throughout the day I would definitely contact your vet to bring him in for an exam. Be prepared to answer questions such as, When was the last time he ate?, What type of food does he eat?, When did the vomiting start?, How many times has he vomited? Knowing the answers to these questions may help your vet come up with a quicker diagnosis. Also try to bring in a fresh stool sample for testing purposes. Hope this helps and that he feels better!

My dog does that too. How frequent is the puking? You can give the dog some OTC acid relievers...I'm trying to think of what I have for my dog...I think it may be called Zantac? I can't remember. But the vet told me that it was safe to use the OTC medicine for dogs. It may also depend on what type of dog you have and how much it weighs as to whether or not it is safe. I have a 75 lb lab.
I don't think it's such an emergency, unless you start seeing blood. I believe the yellow gel stuff is stomach acid.
Also, has the dog not eaten because it doesn't want to, or because you have not fed the dog yet? it's ok to go ahead and give the dog food if you are the one withholding. A little milk prolly wouldn't hurt either.

You should take him to the vet now. First look around your house and see if you can find what he got into. If you wait too long in taking your dog to the vet, and he got into some serious poison, your pup could end up with some type of organ failure. Better to take him to the vet. Or at least call and see if they know what the yellow stuff could be.

You need to look at all the symptoms before racing him to the vet (very costly) Is he just puking or are there other things happening? If he is resting alot, but has no other symptoms like: pain, shivering, unsteadiness, then he may just have a bug. The yellow stuff is probably due to the fact that he hasn't been eating because he doesn't feel well, therefore he has nothing else to puke except that. Keep lots of fresh water out and see if there is anything that he will eat. The B.R.A.T diet works for dogs too. Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast

The yellow stuff is out of your dogs stomach, the same as when we are puke up bile. It can wait until morning but make sure your dog is drinking.
Has he been eating anything unusual as he could have something lodged in his stomach which is making him sick.
Take him to the vet as soon as you can.
He wont starve in 24 hours so dont worry, dogs are the same as people when we feel ill we dont eat either.
Check the colour of your dogs gums. are they very pale? if so he really isnt well at all. keep him warm and hydrated and go to the vet asap.
good luck.

I would have already taken him to the vets and not come on here and asked for advice, he obviously has eaten something he shouldn't have, has he been in the garden and eaten grass, this is meanat to be a medicine for dogs and cats, it would make him puke up yellow bile.I don't mean to sound harsh, but get him to the vets

ok whats he eaten before this.. a.bone? or a chewy hide? sometimes it is normal but after 8hrs if vomiting persists, well i usually call my vet. is he drinking still? does he have any stomach swelling or tighness? what breed? age?
do you have any chemicals soaps rat baits ..anything? snail bait? also eating daffodils, and other bulb leaves while eating grass causes upsets like this too.
is this really regular or every couple of hours? whats the colour on his inner gum line like, if you press it and the blood comes back fast , thats good! if its slow to return or the gums cold get to the vet! is there dehydration?? ie by grabbing a fold of skin behind the neck, gently! see if it springs back or slowly settles if slowly again see the vet, iv fluids maybe needed.

It sounds like your dog is vomiting stomache bile and you have to be carefull it doesnt de-hydrate why not give your vet a quick telephone call and explain the problem to him then they can advise you on wether your dog needs to be seeen today rather than tomorow anyway hope dog gets better.
