If I compiled all previous powerball results in an excel log, counted the occurrances of each white and red ball and played the Powerball lotto accordingly (maybe using the numbers that occur the most, historically) would my odds of winning increase? **Math Geeks only, please**

Many people have come up many ways to win the lottery. Your way of using the Excel program in calculating the lottery is not new.

In order to create a system, you must keep in mind that lottery is a game of randomness, and take that fact in tailoring your system.

By using a system to play lottery, you surely believe in statistics. If so, think of forming or joining a lotto pool to increase your chances, especially in an enormous lottery as the Powerball.

No, the odds stay the same. Probablity has no memory. In other words it does not know that a number has hit so each new drawing the chances of any one number coming up remain the same as in any previous draw.
