I think it depends on how long a person is out of work for and what sort of work they do.

I had a real hard time finding a job after the kids went back to school. What made it even harder is since I was so young when I had them, I also didn't have much of a work history. What I did recently when I started applying for jobs, is in the job history section I actually put down the fact that I was a home maker from 1999 to current. That way it explains the gap in between jobs, then they can ask you further questions about it. Good luck.

I have had a very difficult time finding a job since my daughter went back to school. I even have some college and working with computers and people still won't hire me since i havent worked in 6 years.
