My partner and I have been living in Beijing for a while now and we plan to make the move here permanent. To save the hassle of visas we have discussed applying for Chinese citizenship. How would we go about this? Would we need to join the CCP and can we still retain our British passports?

I easily have a chum who's chinese language American. relatives from China and Hong Kong and in some unspecified time sooner or later moved to united states of america. So my pal exchange into born in united states of america. My pal returned to Hong Kong and have been given a chinese language citizenship. Father has American citizenship, mom has chinese language citizenship.
