Although I do recognize the fact that Bush is a crack head, I have to agree with the other guy, look who the democrats chose to run against Bush, in my opinion the Democrats let the entire country down in 2004 for being lazy and not running someone that could win at least 1 red state.
I also recognize how silly and impressionable Americans are if you use sayings like...Let's Roll, Stay the Course, These colors don't run, Semper Fi, Army of One, I aint skeered, etc etc. And Bush is very good at using those stupid meaningless sayings on weak minded people.

Well, we Americans are always clamoring for someone who has the guts to stand up for what he believes in and is not swayed by the political winds that blow daily, someone who actually has the courage of his/her convictions. I suppose it depends on which side of the political spectrum you are standing on doesn't it? If you agree with him everything is hunky dory. If you don't, this makes you real unconfortable and/or irritated. I am sure it is not easy standing up for yourself with so much doubt and fear being spread by your opponents mostly for political reasons. I believe the President is a good person in an extraordinarily difficult job. No matter what you try, there will always be those who want you to fail or are genuinely opposed to your decisions for the good of the country. For the last 40 years or so we have had politicians opposing their rivals strictly for political reasons from both sides of the aisle. The good of the country has taken a back seat to winning elections and finding fault with any proposal that the other party delivers to solve a problem. The chaos that ensues fragments the nation along ideological lines. The President had the right answers at the right times and the electorate rejected to philosophy of opposition. Slim results at best but still the results. And any victory by the opponent is viewed only as an opportunity to impede progress of the party in power. Likening the President to Hitler and the administration to the Third Reich is way over the line but similie such as this has been used by the opposition on numerous occasions to demonize the other political party. Practices such as this have no benefit to the country and only serve to inflame the electorate. They only solidify the battle lines and increase the angst of the people.

I´ve been trying to figure that out for the past 6 and a half years. After the fiasco with the too close for comfort election in 2000 I don´t undertand why anyone voted for him in 2004. If most people are against the war in Iraq, why did they re-elect him? I sure as hell didn´t vote for him.

I voted for him because he was up against John Heinz. One of my friends, in Iraq at the time, voted for him because he "didn't want to come home in a body bag."

Ask yourself a question instead.

How could anyone vote for Kerry?? A liar, a womanizer, a D student, a FlipFlopper.

For one, we didn't need to switch presidents at such a time. And he was running against a man who had no idea what he was going to do when and if he did get the presidency.

I will try and go slowly on this one. You have your opinions, and I have my opinions, and other people have their own opinions. Which means we all want/think something else. Hence, we have people voting for different candidates.

Well, i did because he was the lesser of two evils. and thankfully that is my right because our country allows us to make a choice. i don't agree with everything he has done, but he is our president and i honor the position that he is in and support him. he sees a bigger picture than we do. there's alot more going on in the world than we know.
