If it is going to upset things in your brother's marriage, I think i would leave well enough alone. I know it is hard, but I have a good friend that grew up knowing her bio-mom as her older sister, and her aunts as her sisters. I don't know when she was told everything, but i do know that not knowing as a child and teenager, turned out okay for her. I also have a friend that found out he was adopted right after graduating from college, his initial reaction was anger, but once some time had passed and he could absorb the info, he was okay. Now he is looking for his real parents. Consider that this may be painful for you, but at least you are still in her life, and what kind of trauma this could bring on a young girl, it could turn her life upside down, turn her into a not very pleasant person because of confussion, bring out feelings of anger and rebellion towards her mother. You could screw up her life. If she is not still an infant, don't tell. wait until she is an adult.

Does the Mom not have a clue that you are the Dad too?? You should be honest, but realize that you will become financially responsible for her if she is yours. It is possible that she just has resemblance because you are actually related...through your brother. Talk to the Mom first. Ask if she thinks it is possible. If she does, then tell your brother and ask for a paternity test. Your brother may feel betrayed by you, but you knew that was possible when you slept with his woman. Step up and do the right thing- why did you wait so long?? (And it is not noble to sit back and watch her be raised by someone else and 'someday' come clean- she will feel as though you did not care enough) Find out....life will go on.

hmmmmm what to do.....
there are times ilife when the only right thing to do is to hold the truth for yourself....... so it hurts a bit and is a bit hard..... big deal...
leave things well enough alone... consider that you have given your brother a child... and do not mess with all of these peoples lives for some selfish desire to big note yourself as the childs father......

something needs to be said, but ask yourself something first: do you want to say something because you want something to do with this child or are you wanting to say something to disrupted his life? have you ever had this conversation with your husbands wife about the said child being yours? have DNA test done, find out first if this child is yours. tough call to make, my opinion though, what the hell were sleeping with your brothers girlfriend in the first place!!! it don't say much about either one of you. shame on yous'!!!

You must tell him. The little girl also desirves to grow up knowing who her real dad is. But the longer you keep this from him the more it will hurt him when he finds out.
