I do not know what to do. I have posted this question several times before and the answers people gave were thoughtful but they have not helped me with my problem. I am a student and classes started on Tuesday and I haven't even went to even one of my classes. It is not hygiene and I don't have TMAU. I have went to the doctor and have had blood tests done but everything has come back normal. I do not sweat but I have a bad odor coming from my underarms. I have eliminated a lot of foods from my diet and nothing has changed. I can take a shower and 10 minutes out of the shower I still smell. I do not know what to do and I do not want to fail all my classes but I hate sitting in class and all the people around you are constantly sniffling and coughing and the teacher is looking at you like you are disgusting.

Believe it or not, it may be the formula of the soap and/or anti-perspirant you are using. Try using different products. Some scents may react adversely to your body chemistry. You may also want to check the label of your underarm product. If it doesn't say anti-perspirant, it probally is only a mask. Also, the ones that ARE anti-perspirant use different types of chemicals. If your current brand uses Aluminum Chlorohydrate Actives, try one with Aluminum Zirconium Glycine Actives, or vice versa. If none of this works, the last thing i can think of is a stone thats sold that by rubbing it under your arms daily can stop this. I can't remind what it was called exactly, but many people with simmilar problems claimed relief. Good luck.

Tough question. Body odor comes from bacteria, and not sweat, though sweat makes can make the odor develop faster.

Do you take a multivitamin at all? They contain vitamin B complexes, and those can give you a bit of a sour body odor at times.

I would see a dermatologist, and consider trying various perfumes until you find one that reacts well with your skin, which may help mask the odor from your armpits. Don't use antiperspirant, but a scented deoderant, since they help kill the bacteria.

I'm assuming your underarms are shaved, if not do it. You might want to think about your diet. Some foods have chemical properties that alter your body odor. Too much fish for example. To counter it you might want to wash with a little watered down lemon juice and splash baking powder on your pits.

Try chlorophyl tablets. They are cheap and don't cause any adverse side effects. They may or may not work.
Is there a chance that you are imagining this. Ask a close friend or relative, or a stranger who isn't afraid of hurting your feelings, if you have a body odor. It may not be as bad as you think.

It still maybe something in your diet. Try eliminating different things. I would also recommend trying different deodorants. Definitely one with antiperspirant. If all else fails, consult a different doctor. It may be something chemical that you can't change on your own.

Good luck!
