i have met someone through the internet and he is the nicest person ever and wants me to go and be with him, in his own country, morocco.

To start with he said that we could live here together, but i told him that i dont like England and his reply was that we would live in morocco then.

Should i trust that he doesnt want me for the visa? he is such a fantastic guy...and if i did marry him, would i have to convert?

Your dad: Some people are like that. If you're secure with it, then ignore what he thinks.

Living together: You met this guy over the internet? Have some dates with him first! It's much easier to get along with someone through correspondences than it is to be together in person. Living together is a big step not to be taken lightly.

Conversion: That's a question for him. Ask him how he feels about who you are and if he's expecting you to change. If he wants you to be someone else, dump him or lay down the law. One should NEVER "convert" to a religion they don't believe in. It's disrespectful to themselves and to the religion.

Probably you would have to convert. And do you have any idea what it is actually like to live in Morocco?

It is surprising how people seem over the Internet. So often it is nothing like they are in real life. And to move to another country, another culture on the strength of that is very risky. And remember, once there, you will be treated like property, because in that culture women are property.

Please don't leave the country. It's getting so hard this day and age to return after leaving the country for a foreign mate. They will seem like the best people in the world until you go to their country and they show you how they actually treat woman.

EDIT: I lost my mom to the "nicest guy in the world" (in her opinion). She met him on the internet (not even out of the country just a few states away). He cusses at her everyday and calls her a ***** and stuff. Also, my cousin is dating a pakistani man. Everyone in her family wants her to leave him or she will leave her family.

You do not know this guy. It seems that alot of men on dating sights only want you for a visa or for sex. You need to be careful. Why do you want to move with someone you hardly know. You might get stuck in his country. You do not have to convert unless you want to. Any way be careful and think with your head and not your heart.

Please think a little about the whole situation - I dont think it would be right for you to move on with this relationship.
