This country was built on the backs of immigrants, with out the Irish and the Chinese there would have been no transcontinental railroad linking our country together, With out the mass exodus of immigrants from eastern Europe we would not be the industrial giant that we are today and with out their Ideas of union and solidarity we would not have the standard living that we enjoy so much. There is no accomplishment in the USA that does not follow a link back to an immigrant. This includes your birth. Somewhere in your family tree there is an Immigrant. Unless of course your family comes from one of the indigenous tribes that were here before the Europeans came.

To seek better living conditions.
The governments of most Latin American countries are busy paying back loans made by the U.S., are broke as a result, so they cannot do much for their citizens, which is why there are people living in deplorable conditions.

Trust me, they don't move to the U.S. for fun or because it's thrilling to "take jobs from Americans". Latin culture is very family oriented, so being far from their families is tough. You may not know this (or maybe you do, but refuse to believe it), but there's a high depression rate among immigrants. Moving to a new country to seek greener pastures is not fun.

If your family is dying in one of those countries, would you want to safe them? You have no pride but shame for the nation.

Immigrants tend to move for economic reasons. For example, I may need to hire someone to work for me and the perfect person for the job may be someone over the border.

You ought to read about what Einstein thinks of patriotism.

Immigrants come to the US because they believe that they can have a better life than they can in their home country.
