Why is there religion?

Many factors have contributed to the development of new religious groups. But a comparison of their teachings and practices with the Bible indicates, rather, that the diversity of religions is because people have become followers of men instead of listening to God. It is noteworthy that, to a large extent, teachings they hold in common, but that differ from the Bible, originated in ancient Babylon.

Religion was born out of a time when the world was a vastly different place. Where people didn't understand what the sun is, or the stars, why we breathed, why we die, how we give birth.

Religion was created out of superstition and fear to give the primitive peoples answers to questions they couldn't answer otherwise.

Unfortunately, some people still choose to believe the superstition rather than fact.

Religion was man's attempt to fill the void of what he didn't know about the nature of his surroundings and the meaning of his existence with answers that made him feel significant.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

God's Word is not a religion but a reality.
