I have serious doubts that with or without a God, mankind could ever live in peace on this world and in this life. cal

I think that acknowledging the manifestation of god is the reason we don't and will never have peace. As long as people are being indoctrinated into particular dogmas the moment they leave the womb, peace is an unachievable goal. For all the good religion may bring it also bring as much bad. Those preaching their chosen beliefs often resort to shunning those who do not believe as they do. I personally believe that without religion we might have a chance for peace. Religion is a virus that has gained so much momentum there is nothing that will stop it. Whether or not there is a god, NO ONE TRULY KNOWS.

I don't know what "acknowledging the manifestation of God" means. But it doesn't look like mankind is capable of peace regardless. The concept of God has been around a long time, but there has always been war. And so-called "godly" men have been responsible for most of it.

Peace is primarily an internal phenomena within the individual. As for peace in society, specifically the abscence of conflict in the world, has nothing to do with blind faith in any mythical being or beings. Peace in the world will only be possible when resources are shared equitably, when all people have equal access to the economic, legal, and political systems of their nations, and when leaders are elected on the basis of their intelligence, not their ability to spew flaming rhetoric. It is highly improbable then that these conditions will ever be met sufficiently to permit the flowering of long term peace.

Do you know any history? How many wars were fought over some belief of what or how God is? Here's a verse for you: 'I make peace and create evil. I, the Lord, do all these things' (Is 45:7)
Can there ever be just one thought on the nature of ONE being?

I think mankind will live in peace after mankind stops living and believing in primitive material. As we become more intelligent, and begin to bond with technology, there will be no need for belief in magic, voodoo, or superstitions. People will use logic as their primary method of thinking, and not the emotional, hope-filled, fearful irrational methods most of us have been taught.
Short answer: people are too irrational to live in peace currently. When they quit being irrational, they'll drop belief in god.

On the contrary, I firmly hold that mankind will never know peace as long as we continue to embrace those outdated, foolish myths called Religion. Religion is the cause of almost all violence both modern and through the course of human history.
Atheist and secular nations have the lowest crime and murder rates, contribute the most foreign aid, are making many of the most promising discoveries in medicine, aren't in war of any kind, and so on.

Mankind will live in peace when we stop worrying about God and start worrying about the planet and the other 6 billion people we share it with. No one person's life is worth more than any other - and that has been ignored by the blessed ones who can afford to pretend that the people born in impoverished places and to impoverished societies are lesser than they are. We need to stop avoiding the real problems: inequality, narsicism, and greed.

mankind would be animallike if there is no faith in GOD. But what we have to do or adhere, having faith in God differs. If mankind acknowledges God, there wont be wars, terrrorism and hatred. Then the mind will work only towards betterment of life of everyone around.
God should be imbibed in the minds out of knowledge and not out of fear.

There can be no peace without acknowledging God, because God is the source and summation of peace. Peace exists because God exists, but we are continually forgetting God, and thereby forgetting peace. If you hide from the sun, you also do not receive the benefits of the sun such as light, heat, and growth. It isn't that the sun has ceased to exist. When we refuse to acknowledge God, we are also not benefitting from His qualities such as peace, love, wisdom, intelligence, etcetera.
