Ok, I was honest and open from the start with my bf's dad. I told him I was Atheist and that being with his son (who is also a Christian) didnt bother me. My bf's dad, is one of those hard core X-stians, and looked like he was gonna burn me at the stake when I told him what I was. Now he's going around telling everyone he knows that his son is dating a SATANIST!! When I ask him about it he tells me Im a liar and that Im just trying to get my b/f to hate him. IM NOT. I wanna be cool with them but he talks bad about me behind me back, and denies it ALL THE TIME. He's even asked a Priest for HELP in "Getting rid of this demonic presence" What am I supposed to do? Its getting on my nerves that he cant say what he thinks of me to my face. What do I do? Why wont he tell me himself that he hates me??? Why the hell is he scared?? UGH! Help! And rational talking DOESNT work with this man. He tells everyone that tries to talk to him that he's always right and he dont care what they have to say!

Sorry but it's much too long to type out here on this board but if you want some insight into the Christian mind (and I don't mean in favor of them) email me and I'll be glad to tell you what I know on the matter and believe me, I know a good bit.

First there is not any burning hell. It is an invention by way of guys. The phrase 'hell' is conveniently an english translation of the greek and hebrew phrases for the usual burial situation of all people after they die. As for God 'beating' us for now not doing what he says. The reverse is correct. We as a human race are beating 'ourselves' for now not doing what he says. Jehovah, the God of the Bible, says at Isaiah forty eight:17,18 "This is what Jehovah has mentioned, your repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: I Jehovah am your God, the only instructing you to improvement your self, the One inflicting you to tread in the way in which wherein you will have to stroll, O if handiest you could truthfully pay concentration to my commandments! Then your peace could grow to be similar to a river, and your righteousness just like the waves of the ocean". Nor drive implied or meant. We stand to reap a best deal by way of dwelling in concord with Jehovah's ethical instructions. You are correct of direction that christians will have to in no way try to 'shove their faith down different humans's throats' as Jesus himself in no way did that. People have the correct to decide on. On the opposite hand christians will pontificate. It is a command from Jesus himself (Mathew 28:19,20) But it's NEVER with the goal of condemning any person.

He sounds like he is not a very good Christian. He`s saying his own feelings to other people and making things up as he go`s along. That is not being a Christian. If you and the son love each other who cares what he thinks.

I wouldn't even bother with this man. You're dating his son, not him so his opinion of you is irrelevent. Let him spout his crap about you, people will see you for how you act and the person you are and will see him as a crackpot.
