JC i totally respect your answer
but sadly those that i am getting at are those who say homosexuality is a choice , when apparently it isnt
since very few here could love someone of the same sex , even if commanded to

I appreciate your well thought out question. It would be hard and I would say near impossible. There are plenty of things God encourages me to do right now that I consider near impossible and honestly don't want to do. (i.e. living a simplistic lifestyle, loving the poor, forsaking materialism, giving beyond a tithe cheerfully) In that regard I'm glad God is patient and graceful with me. But, hypothetically speaking, anything God asks of us He also helps us to accomplish. So, hypothetically if God asked me to love homosexually, I believe that He would help me. Could I? Would I? I don't know. That would be very very hard and I appreciate your question.

I guess the simple answer is yes, but there would need be much more too it. He would have had to explain it more than just that the world was (when it is) overpopulated, like he would have to explain that he has done away with all the other commandments about procreation, marriage, not engaging in homosexual sex acts, etc. Also, based on your hypothetical it leaves it up to the follower to determine when the world is overpopulated and therefore the individual would pray to ask God when that would be. Because the world will never be overpopulated (99.9% likely to be the case), then it would be a frivilous or unnecessary commandment, which I would then ask God why He would give such a frivilous commandment. I'm sure His answer would be that He was really just testing people and seeing if they would use God and His teachings as an excuse for engaging in certain behavior (or not), which he had specifically forbidden.

I guess there are just too many holes in thy hypothetical. But, to be clear, if God did ask that people in no unclear way that they should take someone of the same sex to be their partner, then I don't believe I could disobey, no matter how contrary it was to everthing He has ever taught and commanded.

The hypothetical question exists in a framework that is already established. Paul and Christ both have already said that the prefered situation is celibacy, and marriage is provided as a means to avoid fornication, and that divorce is provided to those who are too stupid to make thier marriage work. Given that, if such a document were found, I would opt for celibacy. Of course, this would also depend on my believing the world to be overpopulated, and I don't.

Anyway, that's not what you asked, but I suply it for completeness because I'm not sure what you're going for. You're asking: "What if God commanded you to be homosexual." Well, if God commanded it, I'd do it. I'd need some pretty serious proof, but I'd do it.

I already do things that are against my nature for God. I'm not a social person. I would much rather be just me, my wife, and my son, and my Bible, but God says "Go to Church," so I do. I would much rather cheat people out of money than try to be honest, but God says, "Be honest," so I am. I would much rather hurt people that hurt me, but God says, "Forgive," so I do. And the list goes on and on. God has my best interest in mind, so if he commanded me to take a homosexual lover, I'd figure that was for my good also.

The Almighty has assured us He does not change. He has told us that that is an abomination. (Highly disliked). Therefore your "hypothetical" is totally impossible, and thus is not worthy of consideration! There is an interesting thought underneath your question. If people live forever (as they were supposed to in the beginning) How would the Almighty have arranged "birth control" so the world would not become overpopulated? Unfortunately, "we" did not behave ourselves long enough for this problem to become clear, or the answer to it. There are many things directed by Scripture that aren't "easy". However we are assured that with the Almighty these things are possible. If we choose to serve Him, He will give us the ability to do those things which please Him, and avoid doing those things which are an abomination.

Well since there are multiple passages that already express that one should not lye with a man the same as he lye's with a woman; this obviously wouldn't happen.

It's not a hatred of persons. The sin is what is hated.

Hypothetical for you. If a former homosexual accepted Jesus and then believed that what they did was a sin. Would you call that person a hypocrite? Cause it's happened.

And yes I have answered your hypothetical. Additionally it is written that it is accepted to be single. It is not wrong to be single. It is not wrong to be a married man and woman. (Read Paul). So because the world is overpopulated we "must" engage in a homosexual relationship. The bible is quite clear about not fornicating. This means you must be married.

And thinking about it more. Your question is not a hypothetical. It is deranged question with the intent of baiting Christians as hateful bigots. For shame on you for having such an unethical demeaner.

I am not a Christian BTW.

The fact is that some parts of the world it is over populated and of high density, whereas other places are low in population and less dense.

I would think the chuch would have a say about how true the statement found that Jesus "wrote". Also they could possible leave it up to the people to decide, leaving an open option.

Wow!... A real question for thought! This is a good one...! This isn't an easy question to answer. The question is "How heavy is ones heart in sin" and will Anubis find fault in ones heart and soul to maintain the feather's weight. How heavy is the feather? How can one interpret ones soul to the weight of the feather. The feather is imaginary, it's a symbol in which one determines the goodness of the heart, soul and mind. If one knows that they have done their best throughout their life and have goodness and love in their heart and soul then their mind is clear from sin and the weight of the feather will show greatness in the person who is standing before Anubis. Have a blessed day!

No, I would call that document a fake. BTW, the world is nowhere near overpopulation. Math works. How many people are there in the world today? If every person was given a 1/2 acre lot with room left for streets, markets, hospitals, airports, parks, farms, and on and on-how much land would be needed??? How much land is in the state of Texas alone? Figure it out. The only place on this planet where it is crowded is in the big cities-the rest is wide open space.Take a look.

first of all, you would have to define overpopulated, and secondly, I wouldn't change my sexuality. If God wished us to marry and be with the same sex, he would guide us and make us feel towards the same sex. It isn't something you can control. God says that you cannot/should not have a partner of the same sex, but I have no problem either way. I haven't had any feelings for the same sex, but why shouldn't others? If Jesus wrote it, then God would make it so. not us.

There were many men named Jesus in the first century. I would say that this document was written by someone who was trying to pervert the words of God.
How could the document be authenticated, seeing it is said that Jesus never wrote anything?
