My cat loves Greenies also.I found them cheaper at the grocery store. They were 1.70 cheaper than they were at the pet store. Some dogs had trouble digesting them and then the formula was changed.I think the cat ones are ok.

Feline Greenies are not made with the same materials as the Dog Greenies so don't worry about what the oher people say about them. There have been issues with Dog Greenies but not with cats.

I've asked myself, and everyone at the pet food store this same question. NOBODY seems to know what is so great about these things---my cat is also crazy about them. If you look at the ingredients on the package, there is NOTHING in particular (listed, anyway), that would even give these things a green color. I've joked with the gals at my pet food store about "I think they've got a little pot in these things". Of course, this would not be listed as an ingredient on the package, but it would surely account for 2 things: the green color, and the fact that they seem to be totally "addictive". And, why are they so expensive? How 'bout because WE are dumb enough to pay almost ANY price to please our "babies". If you've been buying these like I was (in the little-bitty 1/2 or 1 oz pkgs. for $1 each), check out the pet food dept. of one of your local grocery stores. I did, and I found a big bag (3 to 5 oz.) of these for $3 and change. Happy hunting! And, if you're in the mood, why not chew up a couple of these and see if you get high---I haven't tried that one.

grennies to me are just another way of companies to make money off of you, yes the animals like them, but if you don't get the correct size for your animal it can choke to death on them, most of the time when you give your pets hard food it will keep the teeth clean, if not then they do need to get a teeth cleaning done, just keep a check on your pets teeth and make sure the teeth look healthy, there are other snacks (hard ones) that do just as good as greenies and cost alot less.

They had a big story on Greenies on TV and these were killing pets! I would never give my animals those! They probably cost so much because they are paying for lawsuits. Keep your cats away from those!

I've heard bad things about the greenies for dogs. It's killed some. I wouldn't even think about giving it to my cat after I heard that.

Usually if somethings good for you, it costs more because its not cheap processed food. Weird, but a fact. Greenies is a natural treat, so its good too.

My cats love them too. I think they only are expensive because they are supposed to be good and everything. The thing about the dogs dieing was they choked because they were too big for the dog but with cats you dont need to worry because they come in one size for cats.

i use to give my cat greenies but they made him sick at his stomach and he wouldn't stop throwing up, so he doesn't get them anymore. Also my other cat gagged on one before and coughed it back up. I definitely won't buy them anymore.
