It is called the chillasie (im sure i spelled that soooo wrong). But it is a stabalizer for the embryo. It keep the yolk upright at all times, no matter what way the egg is turned or rolled etc.

which will be, the Chalaza connected to the Vitelline membrane surrounding the yolk. It retains the yolk somewhat in position on the middle of the egg and allowing it to be intact till progression. And it also does no longer advise that is "a knotted up egg". :)

You might be referring to the chalazae, which is a piece of protien that attaches the egg white to the yolk.

Hope this helps.

You are not going to like this, but it is the beginning of fertilization. Basically it is semen, but the eggs were taken before fertilization occurred. It is perfectly safe to eat.

If the egg had been fertile, it would have been the chick, but the egg is not, so it is not. make sense? ( or at least its something like that)

It is the actually "what would have been" fetus. However because the egg was never fertilized it really never was.
