New York City is unique- a much faster pace more dynamic place than Atlanta. No one can choose for you. There are some people that wouldbe comfortable in only one of the two

Good luck

I say Atlanta. It would probably be easier to get your life together and save some money there. Then look into moving to NYC if you get bored with Atlanta. NYC is hard to 'get into' and once you've established yourself it's difficult to get out because you worked so hard and spent so much money to get where you are at that it seems crazy to leave.

I sort of feel 'trapped' in NYC because I've had my apartment for 10 years. My rent is so low that if I moved out of the city, I'd NEVER be able to move back and live as cheaply as I do now. I could easily leave but I'd feel like I was throwing away everything I worked so hard to keep. It makes me wish that I had tried living somewhere else before I moved here at 19, even if it was just for a little while.

I lived in both. Atlanta was too hot and sticky. And although it is a nice city, no matter where you live you can get bored of it. The problem with Atlanta is that it is 6 hours to anywhere interesting. NYC will take less to to get bored of, and if you do, you can hit a bunch of other places in a few hours.

So I vote NYC

Without knowing you or what your like, I would say New York. Atlanta is sooo hot and sticky in the summer. New York is much more diverse and probably interesting to a newly grad.

i'm a lwyer in NYC and unless you know people here, it is hard to jump start your career. NYC is more about connections. also, it is very, very expensive to live here (avg rents are 2500-4000 per mo.) why start out with those ahrdships when Atlanta has so much more to offer. Great communities, easier to buy your first home. know what a piece of broken down building/house are going for here (excess of 500K).

so unless you have a collective resource, i'd suggest you check out Atl. I am.

if you like hot weather you should move to atlanta. i've always loved new york but it's so expensive but if you have a good job you can manage. i think new york is so much cooler than atlanta, but it's really up to you good luck!!

I'd say unless you're incredibly rich, Atlanta's cost of living is a lot more manageable for a college grad!
