I've had many of them accuse me of asking silly ones. They never explain why. It usually happens on the ones that are hardest for them to answer.

MtnMan: Your rebuttals are quite amusing and I look foward to them. Especially with all the robot stuff. You don't even realize what you are
You said: "Your questions are considered silly by many of us because they lack substance, rational thought, meaningful consideration, or any sense of an attempt understand even simple concepts before you put them out there for us to enjoy!"
I'll tell you what. I'd be happy to show you why you are wrong if you could provide even one example.

Utuk: This question does not need examples. On the contrary it is best asked with none. The goal is to understand your criteria for judging a question as silly or non-silly. From my experience, those that are considered silly by Christians are those that point out the absurdities of Christianity in a vlindingly clear fashion. Also, any time a hypothetical question is asked, many people seem to find this silly. They don't understand that hypothetical situations and the answers to them provide a great deal of enlightenment. It does not matter if the situation will actually happen or not.

Steve - I can only speak for myself, one Christian. Your question about free will and heaven seemed petty and not worth answering. On the other hand, I do answer many of your questions and I do not see them as silly. cal

Here is an example of a silly question. You have not provided any examples, so how can anyone possibly answer this question? How can I tell you if your questions were silly if you did not provide any examples? It looks like this "question" is really a statement with a question mark at the end. Maybe that is why your other questions are "silly;" but how would I know?

Oh Steve, come now, you are seemingly showing some emotion again. Or maybe not, just more processing glitches I suppose. We'll bear with you, sooner or later the entertainment value of your meaningless output is bound to get better.
Input: Your questions are considered silly by many of us because they lack substance, rational thought, meaningful consideration, or any sense of an attempt understand even simple concepts before you put them out there for us to enjoy!
Stop. Process.
Its okay though Steve, we are patient and care for you. Although you have no control over your thought or action and as such are not rational or have the ability to comprehend logic, it is our hope and to our continued amusement that we hope you press forward.
To the rest, please do as Steve suggests, I have tried to stay with him to give him encouragement, as you can see if you review his prior questions. While he obviously doesn't see it his line of questioning is one of the most amusing on the site.
Take a look, whether out of support for Steve or just for amusement like me, its worth a look.
We love ya, Steve!

Certain things may be more obvious to some people. I like to think there are no silly questions,if the question is sincere. At least you ask, this is a good thing.

I've read your questions and most seem to be good ones---but some people may think you come across as being silly or sarcastic. You can't answer someone who already has his mind made up.
Of course, that goes for Xtians too.

Ad hominem is one of their favourite weapons. The fact that criticisms might be valid don't matter-to them you're just ignorant, silly or misinformed.

Given that their religion discourages them from independent, critical thinking, Christians are most uncomfortable with any question that challenges the more blatantly erroneous aspects of their dogma.

No question is silly IF asked out of sincerity.
If no one explains why, don't let it bother you.
