You soon will get a slow metabolism and you body will slowly begin to eat itself which will cause extreme thinning of the body. Also the body will first eat all the fats and then will turn to protein (i.s. YOUR MUSCLES) When you body starts to this you body will slowly shutdown and you can die from this. Please know that anorexia is not a choice it is a MENTAL illness. This is a treatable disease but people with this disease are very fragile. Please look at Web MD.com for alot of resources!!

Definitely go to wikipedia and look it up, you'll only need that page for your whole report.
Anorexia is a disease when a person stops eating completely, not to be confused with Bulimia, this is Binging and purging (eating a lot and then throwing it up intentionally). Anorexia causes a person to lose fat and muscle, it causes brittle bones, fatigue (because food is fuel), a fine hair grows all over the body to protect from cold because the metabolism isn't working properly to heat body, plus there is no fat to keep you warm. If a person does survive anorexia and they do re-cooperate they will most likely have a messed up metabolism for the rest of their life and may even become obese because the body want to hoard fat. Anorexia is a disease and can be treated, it is usually caused by depression, destruction of self-image caused from low self esteem due to bad influences or hormonal imbalance in ones self. Good luck on your report! Use Wikipedia and I promise you will find everything you need to know.

I believe this is the wrong forum and you should research this on the web or something but since I am a recovering anorexic-I will share. At first, just light-headed feeling, extreme fatigue, etc. In the later stages of the disease, your muscles will atrophy (start disintegrating), your hair will start to fall out, then your vital organs will fail. 95% of anorexics die from heart attacks because their hearts just give out. Good luck-with your research......

depends how long you do it for. hair becomes thin and dull. breath smells and can cause teeth to become yellow and damage them. very severe on the throat as you are vomiting acid can cause you to bleed and if that doesnt heal itself may cause haemorrhage. effects all organs in the body eventually. digestive system eventually starts shutting down because its not being used same with kidneys. you should talk to your doctor as it is a disease and hard to quit so you should get support.its a very dangerous disease

it makes your hair and skin bad. and for years your metabolism is messed up
