It is not a notion but a binding relationship bound with love and by love. It is certainly not antiquated although many believe it to be. It all depends on the people involved as to whether it is or it becomes a binding relationship. The reason I say this is because many marriages are consummated every day in this country and many marriages break up every day in this country. Many people live together in this country and they do not marry and they have children. Marriage is what it is and living together is what it is.
