A. There is a reading from one of the Gospels; one from an Epistle; often an Old Testament narrative passage too; a psalm read with the congregation; plus various scripture verses that are embedded as part of the service.

It's B. The Liturgy part of the mass contains a reading from Scripture. Sometimes more than 8 verses.
