so i have been kinda on and off with this guy who just left for iraq, we were hanging out a lot and hooking up and stuff but he alwasy said he didin't want a girlfriend becasue he was leaving for the war soon and that when he left he wants to just leave with nothing...so the week before he is leaving he is talking to just about everyone but me and almost completely forgetting that i was only one who was always there for him. i dunno what to think???? should i just forget about him???? or should i text him whats up...or is he just obviously not into me at all and i didn't care about me just wanted ***??

He is afraid of getting hurt by you while he is over there. If he gets to close to you right now and you find someone else it would really hurt. That is what I think.

I don't know if you can text him since he is now in Iraq but what you CAN do is write him and let him know your there for him and give him support. Update him on things that are going on back home or even send him a box of goodies with some of his favorite things in it. Just keep in contact with him and hopefully he will write back when he can. Chances are he didn't forget about you, he was getting ready to go to war, and he would have had alot on his mind. Be patient and just be a good friend right now. Good Luck

Sounds like he's emotionally unavailable he wanted to have fun with no responsibility and no strings attached. He told you what he was all about so there is no mystery. No you shouldn't contact him or text him. It was what it was and now it's over. If you meant anything to him he'll contact you just like he did when yall "USED" to hang out. He'll have time to reflect on all the things he took for granted when he's in Iraq and I can almost guarantee you'll be one of them. Just sit back and relax you'll get the opportunity again maybe not with him but someone else.

I think he didn't want to hurt you or give you hopes when he was not really sure what is going to happen to him in Iraq ..I think he cares for you but he's also trying to make you feel free instead of waiting for him!
you can text him and tell him that you will be glad to hear from him from time to time but don't push him to be in a steady relation with you if he's not really interested!

Well get the message kiddo. Maybe he just wanted to break any relations off, since he did tell you. Maybe too, he is a nice guy, who does not want a gf, cuz he would not want to go there, die, and then you get the bad news. Hard to say. But if you have been on and off, then that says he was just having fun, but nothing serious too.
