Only if you are exercising for extended periods of time, more than 2 hours of constant cardio. If you are working out for less than that, your electrolite loss is rather negligible, and water will rehydrate you just fine. Gatorade is really just a salt-sugar brine - I personally think it tastes nasty.

You may run this by your doctor if you think you may benefit from this, or if you exercise in extreme hot or cold. They'll be in the best position to give you a thumbs up or down.

If used as a sports drink ( to rehydrate quicky) it's ok but if you spend your day watching tv, sitting in your couch while sipping gatorade it won't help at all since it's very high on sugar.
