I agree 100%. Now have 4 friends in long term committed relationships through it. Many others have been on great dates. Of course there are losers/nutters who want to do it, but not true of everyone. It just increases your chance of being in contact with more people. Much less sad or desperate than hanging out in pubs every w/end trying to meet a bloke...

Its not that you are desperate! People go on the net to meet their partners for more than a reason.
Most people use the internet bcoz they are shy or have no confindence having a face- to- face (FTF) approach. Others can even do better describing them selves on the internet, remember internet relationships you have to be very gd describing yourself.
Most people look at it in a negative way because of others who are there to destroy.
If you look at homosexuals....its not easy to find one on the road or in pubs so they tend to online relationships.
Its normal, its just one way to find a soul mate.

Actually its suprising how many people use the web to meet and its a easyer option than clubs you can mail 30 people fromyour seat howether i like 1 to 1 interactions and i dont like the web if i see someone i like i might approch them .

they say its bad because its really easy to hide your identity on the net behind a fake photo or something!
Alot of perverts out there that use the net to find their victims!
I agree with you though, i also found my girlfriend on the net, and we have been going strong for almost 3 years now!
If the net works to your advantage, then USE IT!
Ignore people who say its desperate, they just jealous!

Don't know who you are communicating with it could be anyone it has its risks but as you have proven it can be very successful
Know one else has seen this guy or know him and then you go out on a date you are taking a risk
