We can see how well that has worked out...countless Protestant denominations, sects, cults, etc...

The Christian church is very diverse. I have worshipped in many different denominations. I think the reason that there are many different denominations is that there are many different personallities in people. For many they feel more comfortable in a certain church.
One thing that I have noticed is that most song the same songs. This is a real uniting force.
