and if so, why would Satan be against evil?

2007-01-18 03:26:39 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous in Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality

MtnMan: I would encourage you to explain what is self-contradictory about this question, but you will probably not do it as you limit yourself to illogical responses.

Let's see:

"When atheists point out"
...good so far. Atheists do point things out.

"biblical evil on god's part"
...like drowning babies in the flood...still ok

"are they influenced by Satan?"
...according to the bible, Satan can influence people...

Nope. Nothing self-contradictory there. Oh, maybe you mean that biblical evil on god's part is self-contradictory because if god hurts people it's ok so it's not evil. Well, my definition of evil includes bad stuff done by god so no contradiction there.

Great output Steve, senseless, but entertaining still the same.

Obviously you cannot understand the question from an Atheistic point of view because that would require some form of rational thought to be Atheistic or Theistic, but your continued ramblings are amusing so please keep it up.

Your out put in the form of a question is self contradictory and has no meaning so I will not attempt to give it validity by responding o its content.

For the others, bear with Steve, as a being of no rational thought, sometimes his chemical reactions to stimuli manifest themselves in very humorous ways. At other times they are just meaningless rambling such as this one. But I find them entertaining anyway!

Stay with it Steve, we love ya!

"and if so, why would Satan be against evil?"

Exactly, the bible is full of murder, incest, rape, theft, slavery, hate, genocide, etc. I see these as evil, and would never want my holy book to have these. Now it would be different if God said cleary all of these were bad, but he murdered, and recommended murder many many times. I believe it was Lot who had sex with his daughters right. And here's Peter:

2 Peter 2:7
and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men

- God set out rules for slavery (there is no "nice" slavery)
- Jesus stole a donkey (or a horse)
- God recommend killing every last person in the chosen land or they would become a thorn in the israelite's sides.........that's genocide

It gets worse.

I'm not influenced by satan.

Jesus rebuked Peter (satan) when he spoke words that were against God's plan.
did jesus call peter Satan or did jesus rebuke the satanic spirit that influenced peter to say what he said?
Athiests and christians alike are led by Satan. why else did the angel ask the people of God tocome out of the church(es) of satan? Rev 18:4
ok, if there are biblical evils, it is because God does not perfectly preserve the scriptures What God preserves is the faith that builds the kingdom of God. the scriptures themselves are molded into many different translations and I guarantee that one church will change some verses to READ what their traditions and theology READ it to be.
No church is perfectly honorable in their change of the scriptures. And i see satan laughing at the ignorance of mortel men.
of course your question is DOUBLE NEGATIVE. satan is not against evil, but He is against teaching the truth through the corruptions of the translations and interpretations of the bible.

How can you blame evil on a devil when in the Genesis story the serpent made it possible for Adam and Eve to have freewill. To be able to think and reason for themself!

HAIL SATAN

Then look at the bible God.
Here we have a character that goes around killing mass numbers of people for over 1500 years and then says OH I GUESS I SHOULD GIVE THEM A SET OF RULES!!! And in those rules has the gall to say DO NOT KILL!
Clearly a case of do as I say not as I do!

Yes. The Bible says they are the children of the devil. If they don't believe that God exists, then why are they complaing about what he did. If he didn't exist, then the Bible would be just fiction. Why would they be mad at someone who doesn't exsist. That's like someone being angry with Forest Gump. If there is no God, then what are they worried about. If Christians are stupid like they think we are, then why do they bother talking to someone that is beneath them. They're not trying to save us from anything. They are angry at Jesus. That's what Jesus said. He said if they hate you its not you they hate. Its me they hate. Also, "27But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29That no flesh should glory in his presence." 1 Corinthians 1:27-29

Since Satan does not exist that would be impossible. The bible proves itself to be inaccurate, nonsensical, bigoted, and full of hate.
