Where should I look to find a rubber tourniquet for a household first aid kit? And is a one really worth it?

Why do you think you need a tourniquet? I would not recommend using a tourniquet unless there was some extreme injury such as a major limb amputation. Most bleeding form simple lacerations can be controlled by direct pressure, and direct pressure is much safer. Tourniquets to stop bleeding, can do a lot damage and are not appropriate for most first aid situations.
