Yes, amazingly they can and do. Quite sick isn't it. I am seriously awed at the amount of evil Christians will excuse if it comes from god. I cannot even express how disturbed this makes me feel.

To Ivar: Then you don't have free will in heaven, and Adam and Eve did not have free will before eating the fruit.

Yup.

God knew what the results would be if Israel did not completely eradicate the Amalekites. If Israel did not complete God’s orders, the Amalekites would come back to “haunt” the Israelites again and again. Saul claimed to have killed everyone but the Amalekite king Agag (1 Samuel 15:20). Obviously Saul was lying…just a couple of decades later there were enough Amalekites to take David and his men’s families captive (1 Samuel 30:1-2). After David and his men attacked the Amalekites and rescued their families, 400 Amalekites escaped. If Saul had fulfilled what God had commanded him, this never would have occurred. Several hundred years later, a descendant of Agag, Haman, tried to have the entire Jewish people exterminated (see the book of Esther). So, Saul’s incomplete obedience almost resulted in Israel’s destruction. God knew this would occur, so He ordered the extermination of the Amalekites ahead of time.

Why do you say it is God that tortures and kills people? Just because there is (presumably for believers) a God, it does not mean there is no evil in the world.

What is actually amusing to me is that if we all truly followed a peaceful religion, there would be no violence (in theory). Instead, we waste time debating until our last breaths.

a million. you save assigning the male pronoun to God; God is genderless. 2. As a way of differentiating a proper noun from an issue-free noun, please capitalize "God." Zeus is a god, there are one of those Greek gods, there is in common words one Judeo-Christian God. have you ever heard of this concern, that is called "loose Will?" the tale is going that God made smart beings in a position to reason and to make selections because God didn't wish a race of robots. God loves humanity a lot that God gave us determination. we are no longer certain in common words by technique of God's will, yet by technique of our own judgements which come from our own minds. A "good figure" facilitates their newborn to make their own judgements. A "good figure" does no longer dictate their newborn's total existence for them. once you're going to ask inquiries to impression an emotional reaction, please accomplish that in a way that you're not any further making something else of the non-believers seem ignorant. Many atheists and agnostics have performed wide analyze premiere as a lot as their determination about faith, and that advantage's appreciate from any stance.

God isn't torturing anyone. People are making those choices and they will be held accountable. We were put here with free agency. We make our own choices and then are held accountable for our actions. Please don't be so lame as to blame God for the acts of those that choose to do evil on this earth.

God doesn't do that stuff; the devil makes people do it. In Biblical situations where that stuff is described as having been done by God, God had good reason for doing it, even if your little mortal mind cannot comprehend it.

Besides, God loves you, so its only fair you love Him back.

God admits he kills them in the old testament,.....he ordered the killing of them to moses,

he saw over the killing of them while protecting his 'special' son, while Herod ordered the killing thousands of young children and babies.

in the old testament the "killings" that took place seemingly by the hand of God...were fullfilling a prophecy to keep the son of God not only safe but to keep Jesus coming as was written..
