The usual suspects in Congress supporting Illegal Immigration are Boxer, Feinstein and Kennedy. Are you telling them what you think of them? Why? Will You be supporting Tom Tancredo in his campaign for the Presidency in 2008?

yes to all your questions....also contacting the NAACP (both national & local) asking why they are supporting illegal aliens over their own people, legal Americans

also contacting the 3 major national networks questioining why they do not give fair & unbiased information concerning illegals in our country...

have had better luck contacting local stations (affiliates of the 3 national) questioning why no unbiased info, etc. Have had good luck with this...when I hear something on the 5 pm news that I think is unfair, I call and a few times their info is amended for the 6pm news..or they at least tell both sides...

Have written to Star-Telegram(DFW) questioning their policy of only pro-illegal information and written letters to editor to no avail...

have had better luck with my hometown newspaper in Ky printing letters...ever considered the newspaper in your hometown...

In other words I contact anyone that will listen...it is my opinion (for what it is worth) that every patriotic American should contact anyone/everyone they can think of.... if we can show just 1 American the truth about the attrocities being committed (and proposed) against Americans for illegals..that is 1 more.. maybe they will get 1 and on & on... I realize middle-class Americans are busy but if everyone would take just a few minutes every week to contact someone/anyone

I would be interested in more ideas to further our efforts to turn our country back into a lawful society....our governments leaning to a lawless society does not bode well for middle-class Americans....the ones picking up the tab!

This issue isn't really amnesty. It's how severely you punish someone for skipping the paperwork. There are basically two ends of the spectrum. One says that not registering is like driving without car insurance. The penalty, assuming you've done nothing else illegal, should be paying a fine, paying your back taxes, and then filling out the proper paperwork to become a documented alien. The other end of the spectrum says that not registering should be a felony, like stealing a car, and grounds for permanent and immediate deportation. Not only that, anyone who helped the undocumented alien should also be guilty of a felony. Personally, I prefer the first approach. It's simpler, solves the documentation problems, let's people keep their jobs, and provides revenues just like any other taxpayer. And it's not possible to deport 12 million people. We don't have the resources, manpower, or the ability to keep them out if they want to try and come back. But starting from a rational place now, allowing those who've already been here several years to stay assuming they've done nothing else wrong (see option one), is doable. That means deporting just the recent ones and those who have a criminal record (other than failing to register). Much more manageable.

I've donated to the Minuteman border fence, but not to NumbersUSA. I expect I will to either them or 'Fair', but I am not sure which is more effective. I expect either would be more effective with more money, though.

As to Tancredo, I am going to look into him. He is too conservative socially for my usual vote, but I'm at the point where anyone is better than a globalist, and he might be the one I vote for. "GameoverlovesAmy" said he responded to 9/11 by saying we should bomb Mecca, and I want to look into that. That would not be a great thing to have a President say, if true.

I write my elected officials on a weekly basis and most of the time it is in regard to our borders. The usual suspects you mention are not alone and neither is their party. Hagel is so pro illegal it's not even funny and he plans to run for president. I am still looking into Tom for president. I like his view on the illegal immigration issue but I have to get up to date on his voting record and where he is on other issues.

I think those three congresspersons are brave for standing up for something that they believe in. I won't be suporting someone who's a puppet for white supremacist organizations, nor a xenophobe. Tom Tancredo is a racist who doesn't deserve the presidency at all. He only deserves to lead the racist groups that back him.

The best solution is to gain control over it. As someone already said, stop when you're getting there and relax.
