We have a police constable from the UK in our service (medium sized city in Ontario, Canada).
He applied to our police service just like anyone else, had to pass the testing, was interviewed etc.

You might give some thought as a British officer to transferring to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Force. I haven't been able to discover how this is done, but you could perhaps make discreet enquiries of your senior officers. It would certainly improve your prospects when you got home, as you would then have Caribbean experience. Maybe this link would be of help. Some of the views on it are very discouraging, but between the lines you can see that it is not a disagreeable lifestyle. http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296385

the above answer stating interpol is wrong.

I cant believe that you're asking on here if you are a serving PC but... i would imagine you need to contact the relevant police constabulary or whatever they may be called in the particular country. it is possible and i think the profession of police officer will assist you in emmigrating to certain countries too.

GOOD LUCK! email the force, oops i mean service you want to join. :)

What a misinformed answer from that other person, If you want to come to the USA you would have to start from scratch. The requirements vary from agency to agency. a certified police in this country cannot just transfer they have to learn jurisdiction regs and laws for each state or municipality.

As you have access to the internet, I would suggest that you:

a. decide where you want to go.
b. look up their police service websites
c. contact them

Fairly easy really.
