Really ive being thinking for a while that sex is so overated people buy porn , try to get laid all the time , talk about how good it is and need it . To me thats stupid i mean i like it but i dont need it and i never sleep with anyone so easy or just to get laid . The concept of getting laid is boring i can please my self if im horny i dont need a woman for that i actually like to only date who fits my preferance and wait until i get someone i really want to date rather than just date someone because its all i can get so to speak .
Opinions please im just curious to how you all view these opinions etc .

You must never have been in love to make a comment like that- about sex being over rated, or did you phrase your question wrongly and mean to say 'Sleeping around is so over rated'?
I find it quite scary that a young man finds the concept of getting laid boring.

I don't think that sex is overrated, but I do think that too many people have all the wrong ideas about it.
I'm glad that you have your standards, and are not willing to compromise them just to get laid. It's a true testament to your character.
That said, I believe that the sex drive IS a primary function of the human animal. We are sexual creatures that have needs, desires, wants, kinks, and the list goes on. Here in the US, sex is still too much of a taboo to really be approached in very candid and open discussions without seeming like a pervert. Personally, I've adopted a whole "relax, it's just sex" approach and it works for me. You have to realize that there are kinks and fetishes of ALL kinds when it comes to sex. The most important erogenous zone in the human body is still the grey matter between your ears.

Our culture is obsessed with sex, because people seek to fill a spiritual hole in their being. Materialism and consumerist capitalism leaves people ultimately unfulfilled. Therefore sex assumes an exagerrated sense of importance as it's seen as the way to alleviate the feeling of alienation that is commonly experienced in our society. It's also a means of transcending the sense of isolated self in, and through, another person, and temporarily dissolving one's own ego in the union with the other self. Thereby giving temporary relief from the ego or self-consciousness.

This is a really good attitude and to be honest i wish more guys were like you. But then Im 17 so most guys my age are sex obsessed (and they dont get any, haha) To be honest with you, i have had sex with love and had it without love and for me at least, it is completely empty without love. It may feel okay at the time, but later you think... what was the point of that? So i really support your attitude, having someone you really connect with is the really INCREDIBLE feeling, not writhing around with someone who you just like.

I would say your kinda right, sex is awesome but I can go bust by myself if I need too. If a chick want to have sex Hell yeah I'm all for it but I don't beg for it cause I can either move to the next girl or do myself. Its just getting rid of some built up sperm as if you went to the bathroom. But variety can be good
