The old man who lives next door to me annoyed me so I left 30 pints of milk on his doorstep and waited for the police and social services to smash his door down.

Then when they found out he wasn't dead I got arrested for wasting police team. Wheres the fairness in that?

This depends on the state you live in. Laws differ from state to state. Where I'm from they could not arrest for a minor offense like this however you would still have to appear in court. (however please note that you can be arrested and taken to jail on misdemeanors if you meet 1 of the 5 ways: can't show ID, your hurt and need medical attention, too intoxicated, won't sign the ticket, or you have an outstanding warrant cuz you missed a court date.) Also please note the difference in arrest and charged. Arrested is the police come handcuff you and take you with them for booking and formal charging. Being charged with a crime is basically getting a ticket and being told go to court on this date. Back to your questions, YES they can charge you with several different offenses for what you did. Menacing, trespassing, vandalism, destruction of property, wasting police time (forgot the official name for it), and any local laws that your town might have in regards to this offense. Do you deserve to be charged and made to pay a fee... Ya you do. Don't go putting milk on people's door steps. It's stupid and immature.

That was so funny, How did they find out it was you who left the milk?
The police should be glad they didnt find a dead body. And there was just milk they could have taken it back to there station and had plenty of cups of tea/coffee as thats all they do is sit on there backsides,And dont look for the real criminals!!!

That could be a work of comecial genius!! Arrested for unintentally finding a dead old man? Tell 'em go stick it up their butt & by way of luck your actions actually found a dead man. What they wanted to wait for someone else to call them when his body was all rotted. Their just angry / proud as you did a better job than them.

You are wasting taxpayers money by having them go on a false call. And as far as the milk goes...I think you shouldn't be allowed to ever drink a single drop of it ever again. Maybe that would teach you a lesson. You are sick and need mental health care. Or else you are just mean and evil and should be locked up for life.

wow, what a contradiction, clever idea but very stupid at the same time, you had your fun at the expense of the police, social services and the old man it sounds fair enough to me that you got arrested for it.

The fairness in that is that you WASTED POLICE TIME.

And public money.

And had some poor persons door kicked in - someone had to pay to fix it.

Get a life.

LMAO at you! you got what u deserved!

yeah it's fairness! You took these officers away from a real crime to deal with ur stupidity! Hope ur happy! I am glad u got arrested! A child could be missin, or someone could have been getting raped, and instead of helping them or stopping those crimes from happening they had to deal with ur nonsense!
some people haven't any brains! Think before u act!

you did indeed waste police time since they could have worked on a real crime. someone got mugged or broken into because of your actions. so now youre arrested say nothing except through your attorney.

They should lock you up and throw the key away, have you got nothing better to do, that waste police time.
